Muscat: Sohar Port and Freezone recently took part in the China Outbound Investment Summit, held in Shanghai, China on on September 12 and 13. The summit was attended by over 300 senior executives from China’s leading private and state-owned enterprises and aimed to strengthen ties with global governments, economic development organisations and foreign free zone authorities.

The Outbound Investment Summit seeks to boost foreign investment and create further opportunities for working with globally renowned enterprises.
In attendance at the summit were senior Chinese officials from various fields, including special economic and free trade zones, investment and trade promotion agencies, industry-specific parks and clusters, multinational corporations, ports, airports and logistics operators, regional development authorities and agencies, trade facilitation and development bodies, agencies and NGO’s, and commercial real estate services and site selection consultants.
