MUSCAT: Tayyib Ikram’s burgeoning influence in the realm of sports underscores his standing as a distinguished sports administrator.  As the FIH President pioneers groundbreaking initiatives in the development of the game, such as the ongoing hosting of the inaugural Hockey5s World Cup in Oman, he has also recently secured two pivotal appointments that significantly expand his role in the global governance of Olympic sports.

Coordination Commission of Brisbane Games

Ikram has been selected to serve on the Coordination Commission for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games. Building on over a decade and a half of experience in the coordination commissions of both Summer and Winter Asian Games, Ikram, also the Vice-Chair of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Athletes’ Committee, expressed gratitude to IOC President Thomas Bach for entrusting him with this role.
