Update: Missing Omani woman found by police
Muscat: Search operations are on for a 21-year-old Omani woman who went missing on Thursday morning in the wilayat of Liwa, the woman's father has said.
Royal Oman Police (ROP) confirmed the incident, adding that the search is on for the woman.
The woman is identified as Halima Hassan Al Shamsi, according to her father.
“She left the house in Harmul area of Liwa on Thursday morning. We are still searching for her along with the ROP. She is married and has two children. We hope to find her soon. We call on people to help us in searching for her," her father, Hassan, told the Times of Oman.
News about her disappearance has been circulating on mobile chat application WhatsApp in different languages, calling people to help look for her and to contact the nearest police station in case anyone finds her.
In July this year, an 11-year-old girl who was reported to be missing in the wilayat of Suhar was found a day later, and handed over to her parents.
