Afghan health minister visits hospitals in Oman

Muscat: H.E. Dr. Ferozuddin Feroz, Minister of Public Health for Afghanistan, visited Dhofar last week, and was given a tour of a number of health institutions in the governorate.
A statement by the Ministry of Health said that Dr Ferozuddin "expressed his admiration to the progress of the health services in the Sultanate, as well as the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Health to develop and outreach the primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare services throughout the Sultanate.
"In order to identify the primary healthcare services, the Afghan Minister visited Al-Dahariz Health Center and met the medical staff and outpatients. During the visit, the Minister briefed on the centre's facilities, progress of work and the ways of receiving and referring patients," the statement added.
"The Minister visited also the National Heart Center in Salalah and briefed on the centre's facilities, operations theater and ICUs, in addition to a detailed explanation on patients care before, during and after heart operations."
