Muscat: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Muscat Chapter (under the sponsorship of CBFS) is conducting its 13th Annual International Seminar on January 19 at JW Marriot Hotel, Muscat on the theme of ‘CAs Beyond Numbers’.
Former Union Minister of India CA Suresh Prabhu will be the key-note speaker. Chief Guest of the event shall be Fisal Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Amit Narang, Ambassador of India and Dr Zahran Al Salti, Dean, College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS), will be the Guest of Honour.
“In line with the theme, we have carefully selected speakers who are chartered accountants grown beyond numbers including CA Chetan Dalal (Forensic expert), CA Pattabi Ram (author and teacher), CA Jay Chhaira (motivational speaker). Saurabh Mukherjea, renowned stock market strategist and author of the famous book ‘Coffee Can Investing,’ will also be a speaker,” said CA Jim Joseph Itty, Chairperson of the Chapter.
“ICAI is associating with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) for an Oman India Investment Forum, to be held on 20 January 2024. So the attendees of the seminar will also get the opportunity to deliberate on investment opportunities in Oman and India,” he added.
ICAI President CA Aniket Sunil Talati and Vice President CA Ranjeet Kumar Agrawal will also address the gathering. Chartered Accountants and accounting professionals from Oman, GCC and India will attend the seminar.
Established in 2008 under the sponsorship of CBFS, ICAI Muscat Chapter has more than 350 registered members. The Chapter has sub-committees in Sohar and Salalah. ICAI is the largest profession accounting body in the world with over 400,000 members.
