HM’s visit to create more job opportunities in Musandam

Muscat: The visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has brought good news for the people of Musandam Governorate in all fields. The visit will open many opportunities for the people of the governorate, particularly the women who will aspire to break the glass ceiling along with their peers.

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) confirmed that the royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to establish an industrial city in Seih Al Wasat in the Wilayat of Madha, prefabricated building in Mahas Industrial City in the Wilayat of Khasab and the Wilayat of Madha will have a profound impact on empowering the industrial sector in Musandam Governorate.

Regarding the auspicious visit of His Majesty the Sultan, Maryam bint Ali Al Shehhi said: “The visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Musandam reflects positively on the governorate, and will increase communication between the government and the local community.”

Al Shehhi added that the announcement of new projects will create golden opportunities for women in Musandam Governorate and help them become creative in economic, social and cultural fields, thus achieving the goals of the “Oman Vision 2040”.

Aisha bint Ahmed Al-Harfi, head of the Craft Industries Department in Musandam Governorate, said: “Development of women is the focus of the Musandam governorate plans, supporting and empowering them in all ways, including financial, administrative and other aspects that will benefit them by developing their skills, activating their products, promoting them and transferring them to foreign markets. It includes the use of artificial intelligence in the development of Omani women in various sectors, and pushing them towards entrepreneurship and building sustainable economies.”

Dr. Khadija bint Sulaiman Al Shehhi, an employee at the Ministry of Information, also confirmed: “The women in the Musandam Governorate don’t feel marginalised about the geographical distance. They have made their way with determination and strength, and feeling empowered thanks to the support and empowerment by His Majesty the Sultan, to stand out with all confidence in front of the world as they have contributed and helped in building the Sultanate of Oman.
