Expats arrested for violating labour, residency laws in Oman

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested two expatriates for attempting to smuggle 18 expatriates in violation of the labour and foreign residency laws out of the Sultanate of Oman via a fishing boat.

ROP said in a statement :"Coast Guard boats led by the North Al Batinah Governorate Police arrested two infiltrators of Asian nationality while they were attempting to smuggle (18) expatriates in violation of the labour and foreign residency laws out of the country via a fishing boat. The legal procedures were completed against them. "
