Omran to celebrate completion of Phase One of Madinat Al Irfan (East) project
Muscat: As part of the efforts aimed at achieving the national strategic goals for tourism and showcasing the Sultanate of Oman as a global tourism destination, Oman Tourism development Company (Omran Group) will celebrate on Monday the completion of Phase One of Madinat Al Irfan (East) through the official opening of the 5-star JW Marriott Hotel Muscat, under the patronage of Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrooqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism.
The investment cost of the hotel is OMR47 million and has 304 hotel rooms and suites and is the first hotel with the brand JW in the Sultanate of Oman.
The hotel which holds the Leed Gold certification, issued by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), comes within the efforts of Omran Group aimed to cope with the increasing tourism movement in the Sultanate of Oman. The hotel has a strategic location in the heart of Madinat Al Irfan (East) and is directly linked to Oman Convention and Exhibitions Centre.
