‘Hidden Nature: Pictures of Omani Wildlife’ exhibition opens in Muscat

Muscat: The exhibition “Hidden Nature: Pictures of Omani Wildlife” was opened on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Omani Society for Fine Arts in Muscat Governorate.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, represented by the Omani Society for Fine Arts, opened an art exhibition entitled “Hidden Nature: Pictures of Omani Wildlife,” under the patronage of His Excellency Azzan bin Qasim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, at the headquarters of the Omani Society for Fine Arts in Muscat Governorate.

The exhibition includes 51 artistic paintings on two themes of Omani wildlife, namely “insects” and “reptiles”, with the participation of 7 Omani photographers interested in photographing wildlife. The paintings are displayed with the scientific names registered in scientific institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.

The exhibition, which will last for two weeks with the participation of several parties, includes the display of live specimens and the presentation of research papers on wildlife, in addition to lectures on Omani snakes explaining their types and methods of dealing with them, presented by Ahmed Al Busaidi, and a practical workshop for photographers in close-up photography presented by a group of photographers.
