Horse riders display equestrian skills
Shinas: The activities of the traditional sports of horses were held in Shinas, North Al Batinah Governorate, 5 January at the Equestrian Ground.
The event saw the participation of 80 horses from the wilayats of the North and South Al Batinah governorates. Riders displayed their horse-riding skills, including well-known horse shows besides Al Ardha show which were warmly welcomed by the equestrian sports lovers from the wilayat of Shinas and other neighbouring wilayats.
The event also saw the participation of folk troupes .
The event was organised by Shinas Equestrian Committee under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salim Al Hajri, Wali of Shinas in the presence of the representatives of Oman Equestrian Federation. 

Over 300 horses, camels take part in traditional shows
Ibra: The traditional horse and camel show (Ardha) was organised in the Wilayat of Ibra, North Al Sharqiyah Governorate on 5 January under the patronage of Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health.
The event, which was held at Zad Al Rakib equestrian ground, saw the participation of horse sports’ lovers from the various governorates of the Sultanate and the participation of over 300 horses and camels.
The horse and camel riders displayed their skills and control of horses and camels besides the skills of tent pegging and other traditional horse and camel arts and sports.
