Muscat: The first Omani national football team will meet the day after tomorrow, Saturday, with its counterpart, the UAE national team, within its external camp in Abu Dhabi in preparation for the Asian Nations Cup, which will be hosted by Doha next January.

 The match will be held at Al Nahyan Stadium at exactly 7:15 a.m. Oman time. This will be the last friendly confrontation for the two teams before heading to Doha to compete in the Asian finals.

 The Oman national team continues its preparations for the Asian Nations Cup finals during its training camp led by Croatian coach Branko Ivankovic, where it played the first match with the Chinese national team and ended with the Oman national team winning 2-0, with goals from Arshad Al-Alawi and Mohsen Al-Ghassani.

 The national team continues its intensive training sessions, during which the exercises varied between fitness And technical skills, in preparation for the next match. The training witnessed the joining of goalkeeper Fayez Al-Rashidi, coming from his Bahraini club, Manama, and the return of player Mahmoud Mabrouk to group training after recovering from his injury.

 The first confrontation for Oman team in the Asian Cup competitions will be against the Saudi national team on the 16th of next January at Khalifa International Stadium, within the matches of Group Six, which also includes the teams of Thailand and Kyrgyzstan, while the second confrontation for the Red will be against the Thai national team on the 21st of next January at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium and the third and final confrontation for the national team in the group stage will be against the Kyrgyz national team on January 25th of January at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
