Here’s when the next public holiday in Oman might be expected

Muscat: The Islamic New Year holiday is expected to fall on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, according to the official app by the Ministry of Endowment and Religious affairs.
However, the dates could change depending on moon sighting.
The day marks 1,440 years since the migration of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) and his companions from Mecca to Madinah, Islam’s holiest cities in Saudi Arabia.
