Driver in Oman arrested after running over passenger who fell from car

Muscat: A driver has been arrested after drifting his car and accidentally running over a passenger who fell from the same vehicle, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said on Monday.

In a statement online ROP said "South Al Sharqiyah Police Command has arrested the driver of a vehicle in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Hassan for drifting, causing his passenger to fall from the vehicle before being run over."

ROP added that legal proceedings against the driver are underway.
