Al Hamra: The paving of internal roads works in Wilayat of Al Hamra, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate for the first package reached 70 percent completion, while the works of package two was 30 percent comleted at a cost of OMR5.50 million.
Walid bin Mohammed Al Shamly, Director of Al Hamra Municipality Department said that the pavement works of both the packages are progressing on schedule.
The total length of the road works of package one exceeds 9 kilometres of which 70 percent has been completed.
Package two works included the areas of eastern and western Wadi Ghoul, the social houses area, Al Mirkadh area, Al Hoota and Al Harija areas.
The company executing this package is nearing completion of the works of Al Sharia-Al Sowdi project and Wadi Ghoul Road project.
The Director of Al Hamra Municipality Department pointed out that the project would facilitate the movement of citizens in the various villages in the Wilayat of Al Hamra and would contribute to development of the economic activity and tourism in the wilayat.
