Earthquake strikes close to northern Oman

Muscat: An earthquake struck southern Iran on Thursday, around 330 kilometres from northern Oman.

In an online statement, the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC), SQU said "an earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter Scale stuck southern Iran at 9:19 am Oman local time, approximately 330 kilometres from Khasab."

No further information has been made available.
