MUSCAT: The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) board gave the nod to fund five programmes under the Olympic Solidarity at the fourth OOC board meeting held on Wednesday.
The OOC board meeting was held under the chairmanship of OOC president Khalid Al Zubair. The meeting reviewed the recommendations of the previous meeting and also approved it.
The board also approved the recommendations of the Oman Sports Medicine Committee and Oman Athletes Committee
Under the Olympic Solidarity programmes for 2021-2024, five projects will be funded to support technical and administrative staff of OOC and knowledge exchange programmes for sportspersons.
The board members also reviewed and approved the minutes of the meetings of various sub-committees, represented by Oman Sports Medicine and Anti-Doping Committee and Oman Athletes Committee.
