Sohar: The National University of Science and Technology represented by the College of Medicine and Health Sciences in Sohar organised on Wednesday the annual ceremony of wearing the white coat for a batch of 166 doctors.
Dr. Said bin Hareb Al Lamki, Undersecretary for Health Affairs at the Ministry of Health presided over the ceremony in the presence of a number of officials.
Dr. Salim bin Khamis Al Araimi, Deputy to Vice Chancellor of the University for Academic Affairs and Research in a speech pointed out to the role of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Health and all government sectors in the progress and development of the graduates of the University and its mission in the medical field.
Professor Mohammed bin Ali Al Shafee, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences said that the 18th edition of the annual ceremony is a scientific tradition and a symbol of the start of the clinical training.
The ceremony included a video presentation on the stages of training in the various health establishments besides honouring the health establishments and doctors cooperating in the field of clinical training of students of medicine along with wearing the white coat and medical oath taking.
