Two sessions of ‘Generation Amazing Programme’ concludes successfully

Muscat: The Ministry of Education, represented by the Department of Educational Studies and International Cooperation, in cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, represented by the Generation Amazing Foundation in the State of Qatar, organised on Sunday morning a ceremony celebrating the conclusion of the first two sessions of the Generation Amazing Programme, under the patronage of Sanaa bint Hamad Al-Busaidi, Advisor to the Minister of Education.

The ceremony was attended by Maryam Al-Riyami, Advisor to the Minister of Education for International Educational Relations, the directors of the educational directorates in the governorates implementing the programme, Jassim Al-Ali, Director of Events at the Generation Amazing Foundation in the State of Qatar, Hamad Abdulaziz, a main trainer at the Foundation, and school administrations and teachers.

The celebration took place at Khasab Hall at the Ministry’s General Diwan.

The ceremony programme began with a speech by the Generation Amazing Programme team at the Ministry of Education, delivered by Muhammad Al-Alawi, International Relations Specialist, at the Department of Educational Studies and International Cooperation.

He said: “The programme targeted the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades by qualifying and training school sports teachers in the 24 targeted schools, 14 of which were government schools and six were private schools, distributed among three governorates (Muscat Governorate, South Al Batinah Governorate, and Al Dakhiliyah Governorate).

In coordination with the educational directorates in the targeted governorates, these 20 schools were chosen according to specific criteria developed by the ministry’s team, and field visits were carried out to all the schools that were nominated to check on the facilities and the school’s readiness to implement the programme.”

A speech was delivered by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (Generation Amazing Foundation), delivered by Jassim Al-Ali, Director of Events at the Generation Amazing Foundation.

He said: “It is with great pride that we stand before you to culminate a distinguished journey that we began in 2019, and were able to have a positive impact on more than 4,000 students over 20 schools. We look with pride at our esteemed teachers who made their efforts to obtain the greatest amount of information to present them to their students. Thanks to all of you, we see a bright future, and therefore our flag remains steadfast, and we aim to continue this cooperation.”

The ceremony included a video clip of the Generation Amazing Programme, which included interviews with specialists about the programme, its importance, goals, training mechanisms, and training footage of students participating in the activities and events carried out in schools.

The ceremony also included a student presentation about the programme, which showcased the skills that the students acquired during the programme sessions, and their interaction with their peers in an interactive environment through the programme activities, during which they made serious efforts to achieve excellence.

At the end of the celebration, the patronage of the ceremony honored the school sports teachers in the schools implementing the programme, their management, and the programme follow-up team in the Ministry of Education.

It is worth noting that the ceremony aims to activate cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in the State of Qatar, and to introduce the most important statistics and figures for the first session of the programme.
