Doctor in Oman sacked for refusing emergency treatment to child

Muscat: A doctor that refused to treat a child is being fired from his job at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.

In an online statement, the ministry said, “In reference to what has been circulated on social media at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, the ministry would like to clarify that it is currently in the process of finalizing the services of the doctor, in accordance with the regulations and laws governing health work in the country.

"The Ministry asserts that will not tolerate those who don’t work hard."
