Firefighters in Northern California are gaining ground on a massive wildfire that has killed at least six people and destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses.
The search continues for at least seven people who are missing.
California is bearing the brunt of an extreme run of wildfires across the western part of the U.S. driven by strong winds and record high temperatures.
So far, four firefighters have died fighting wildfires this year, including two battling the Carr Fire.
