Muscat: HH Sayyid Fahd Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received here today Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Council and his accompanying delegation.
HH Sayyid Fahd affirmed that the Sultanate of Oman accords attention to the matter of following up on the steps undertaken by the ICAO and its President in matters related to improving the level of services that facilitate airspace safety on the global level.
He also underscored Oman’s constant commitment to cooperation in a bid to enhance air traffic and maintain safety requirements.
On his turn, the ICAO President lauded Oman’s renaissance in various fields. He also shed light on Oman’s modern airports which are built based on international standards.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and Eng. Naif Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
