Oxy Oman sponsors Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities

Muscat: Oxy Oman announced that it has become a sponsor of the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities (AEICD) and will support the Association with a year-long rehabilitation program. The program will assist children with disabilities and rare disorders and their families, through the support of assessment & rehabilitation, daycare services, outpatient rehabilitation services, family support group services and assistive devices.

The announcement was made at a signing event held at the AEICD Center. Steven Lauver, President and General Manager of Oxy Oman, and Dr. Lubna Al Kharusi, Secretary of the Board of Directors of AEICD signed the sponsorship agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

The Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities is a non-governmental entity established in 2000 to address the needs of young children with disabilities and their families throughout Oman. AEICD provides a wide range of services for children with all types of disabilities, with an interdisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and educational staff.

“We are proud to partner with AEICD to help provide outstanding care and resources for children at the association, as well as their families. Oxy Oman focuses on programs that directly support the health and welfare of our communities, and we aim to positively enhance the programs provided for them,” said Mr. Lauver.

This sponsorship falls under Oxy Oman’s umbrella of strategic partnerships and continuous collaboration with key stakeholders, and is part of Oxy Oman’s endeavor and long-term commitment to support programs that enhance economic growth and sustainable development and that yield positive impacts in the neighboring communities.
