MUSCAT: The Ambassador of China to the Sultanate of Oman, Li Lingbing, made a visit to Pakistan School Muscat recently, on the occasion of Oman National Day.
She inaugurated a consignment of customized furniture for school, imported from China. and said such cooperation reinforces the bonds between Pakistan and China, as well as Pakistan and Oman.
She met Pakistan School Board members and the meeting was attended by officers from the China and Pakistan embassies. During the meeting, they discussed avenues for cooperation, including mutual collaboration between the government of China and Pakistan Schools in Oman, introduction of the Chinese language in schools, and special education in the Pakistan Schools system.
She expressed her delight when briefed about the Smart Board system, the teaching of specially-abled children, and the overall standard of education and other initiatives in the Pakistan School system.
The ambassador expressed admiration for the dedication and hard work of the management and teachers in providing excellent education to the students. She pledged to seek the assistance of the Chinese government to expand and construct additional facilities for the Centre for Special Education. Additionally, she extended her support for providing scholarships to students from Pakistan Schools in Oman in the future.
Pakistan School Muscat chairman Ameer Hamza thanked the support of the ambassador. The Pakistan School Board also thanked Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, Imran Ali, for facilitating cooperation with the Chinese government to uplift the Pakistan Schools in Oman.
