Muscat: Two Omani citizens who were stranded at a waterfall in Dhofar have been rescued, authorities announced on Saturday.
In a statement online, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) said, "The water rescue team at the department of civil defence and ambulance in Dhofar managed to rescue citizens who were stuck as they climbed up to the Dirbat waterfalls in wilayat Taqah, and were unable to come down."
The authority added that the citizens have been rescued and are in "good health". PACDA asked visitors not to risk the rise of such places and to endanger themselves.
