Muscat: The Foreign Ministry has voiced the Sultanate of Oman’s denunciation and rejection of the persistent, unjustifiable military assaults launched by Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, including the heinous massacre that took place at Al-Fakhoura school, which is affiliated to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The assault killed many civilians who had been displaced from the Gaza Strip.
While expressing its condolences to the families of the martyrs and its wishes of speedy recovery for the injured, Oman values the staunch struggle of the valiant Palestinian people who keep withstanding Israel’s injustice, relentless aggression and continuous occupation of the Palestinian territories in flagrant violation of the international law and the resolutions of the United Nations (UN) Security Council.
Oman also reiterates its call on the international community to take practical measures and impose deterrent sanctions on Israel to stop its aggression and the crimes it commits against civilians.
Oman affirms that such practices are exercised in stark contempt and disregard for human souls and human dignity in blatant violation of UN charters and international norms, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international humanitarian law. It expresses its rejection of Israel’s continuous, inhumane siege and blockade on the Gaza Strip, depriving the population there of basic living necessities including fuel, water, food and medicine.
