Philippines Embassy in Oman to host open day

Muscat: The Philippines Embassy in Muscat will be hosting an open day event on August 3, 2018, the Embassy announced.
According to the official notice, this is being done to provide Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with an opportunity to renew their passports among other essential services and to provide their families an extra day of service.
According to the embassy, OFWs will have the chance to replace lost passports, authenticate documents, register as an overseas voter, apply for the Overseas Worker Welfare Administration (OWWA) alongside other welfare services. Visa and employment authentication services will however not be entertained, the notice read.
The Embassy of the Philippines in Muscat has also announced that they will host a consular outreach open day every first Friday of the month.
