Bank Muscat extends its support to Sayyid Abbas Golf Tournament

In line with its commitment to promoting sports and community-centric activities, Bank Muscat extended its support to the prestigious Sayyid Abbas Golf tournament, which was recently held at the Ghala Golf Club. This year’s tournament participation reached 116 of the top golfers in the country. It is held annually in memory of the club’s former chairman, the late His Highness Sayyid Abbas bin Faisal.

Speaking on the occasion, Saleh Mohammed Al Maaini, Deputy General Manager - Capital Regions, Bank Muscat, said: “The Bank attaches great importance to supporting initiatives that contribute to the country’s progress and development in all areas. We are delighted with the great success achieved by the Sayyid Abbas Tournament, which is one of the most well-known sports tournaments in the country. It is my great pleasure to thank the organisers and the participants for the splendid results that have been achieved this year.”

Bank Muscat places great emphasis on supporting initiatives aimed at contributing to the Sultanate’s progress and development across different spheres, particularly sports activities for the youth. As part of this strategy, Bank Muscat supports many sports activities. Bank Muscat has previously extended strong support to different sports activities in the country as part of its social responsibility initiatives.

The bank’s Green Sports programme is one of the leading CSR programs in Oman, which provides support to local sports teams as part of the bank’s efforts to develop sports infrastructure and provide green spaces throughout the Sultanate of Oman. Bank Muscat’s Green Sports programme has so far benefitted 183 teams with over 50,000 team members across the Sultanate of Oman.
