Muscat: Tasks of the Food Security Lab 2023, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, concluded in Muscat after a period of two weeks.
During the event, panel discussions explored ways of enhancing local and foreign investment in various sectors of food security, including the competitiveness of local products and the localization of key projects based on modern technology.
The lab announced 15 projects with an investment value of about RO 83 million. Also, 26 usufruct contracts were signed to the tune of RO 38 million. As part of the lab, 12 investment projects were given initial approval, while another 174 investment opportunities were unveiled for potential projects worth about RO 756 million.
The lab’s closing ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Khalfan Said Al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, with the attendance of several officials.
