Muscat: The Directorate General of Health Services in Muscat has inaugurated on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 Dental Clinics services at Hay Al Meena Health Center.
The inauguration was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Al Munther Ahmed Al Marhoon, Wali of Muttrah, with the presence of Dr. Thamra Al Ghafri, Director General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate, and number of senior officials from the Ministry and Muscat Health.
The Director General of Muscat Health pointed out that according to health indicators in the Governorate, number of people who are seeking dental care, particularly school students, is increasing; therefore, a specialized facility for providing the services was a necessity.
The center is equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices for dental conditions treatment. It composes of general and specialized dental clinics including periodontology clinic, a preventive cavity-fighting medicine clinic to follow up on the preventive program for school students, a specialized clinic in oral and dental surgery, and a specialized dental clinic for children.
The patron of the event toured the center and honored the institutions from the private sector that contributed in supplying the medical devices to the center.
