Earthquake hits Gulf of Aden

Muscat: An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Gulf of Aden, the Earthquake Monitoring Centre announced.
Authorities said that the earthquake hit at 5.57 am Gulf Standard Time.
In a statement online the Earthquake Monitoring Centre said, "Earthquake of magnitude 5.5 [on the Richter scale was] recorded in the Gulf of Aden at 5:57 am Sultanate time.”
