Muscat: The taxi rates in hotels, malls and Sultan Qaboos Port via applications are licensed by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT).

Taxi rates in hotels start from OMR 1.5, and 250 Baisa for every km, and for waiting periods 50 Baisa will be added for each minute after the first 10 minutes.

Taxi rates in malls start from 300 Baisa, and 130 Baisa will be added for every km, and for waiting periods 50 Baisa will be added for each minute after the first 10 minutes.

In general the cost of services can not be less than OMR 1. Taxi rates in Sultan Qaboos Port start from OMR 1.5, and 250 Baisa for every KM, and for waiting periods 50 Baisa will be added for each minute after the first 10 minutes.
