Dhofar continues to attract an increasing number of visitors for the Khareef

Salalah: Dhofar continues to attract significant numbers of tourists for the current Khareef season, with the latest data revealing that a high number of visitors have made their way to the south of Oman relative to last year.

The National Centre for Statistics and Information reported "the number of visitors to Salalah for the Khareef as of June 6 is 69,824, compared to 46,118 visitors during the corresponding period of last year, representing an increase of 51.4 per cent."

Omani nationals made up 64.3 per cent of this figure, followed by UAE nationals at 9.6 per cent.
