School classes suspended in some parts of Oman

Muscat: Classes will continue to be suspended in Dhofar Governorate and Al Jazir Wilayat in Al Wusta Governorate until Tuesday, October 23, 2023.

The Ministry of Education said in a statement, "Reference to Warning No. (1) issued by the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards, and the statement issued by the National Committee for Emergency  Management suspending work on Monday and Tuesday, corresponding to October 23 - 24, 2023 for workers in the government and private sectors in Dhofar Governorate and the Wilayat of Al Jazir  in Al Wusta Governorate, and a statement ( 1) In which the Ministry announced the suspension of studies on Sunday and Monday, October 22-23, 2023. The Ministry of Education announces the continued suspension of studies in all schools (public and private) in the Dhofar Governorate and the Wilayat of Al Jazir  in the Al Wusta Governorate until the end of Tuesday, October 24, 2023."

" Classes will resume on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. " the statement added.
