Salalah: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism announced on Saturday the closure of all heritage sites and affiliated parks in the Dhofar Governorate, starting from Sunday until next Tuesday, due to the governorate being affected by the tropical condition “Tej”.
The Ministry called on all tourists in the Dhofar Governorate to avoid going to beaches and tourist sites, take caution, and follow all necessary instructions and guidelines issued by the relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources in Dhofar Governorate called on all farmers, livestock breeders and beekeepers to take precautions for safety of their livestock and beehives, given the possibility that the governorate will be affected by a tropical condition in the Arabian Sea.
The Director General of the General Directorate of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources in Dhofar Governorate, said that alerts issued by the Civil Aviation Authority indicate that the governorate will be affected by a tropical condition, accompanied by rains of varying intensity.
He called on citizens to transport their livestock and bees to safer places away from valley streams, dam sites, and low-lying areas.
