MUSCAT: In line with its commitment to create rewarding internship and job opportunities for Omani youth, Bank Muscat, the leading financial service provider in the Sultanate, participated in the Career and Training Opportunities Fair organized by the College of Banking and Financial Studies. The event witnessed the participation of 25 different institutions from both the government and private sectors.
Within the Fair, the bank dedicated a special stall where it introduced students to the training and job opportunities, benefits given to employees and initiative aimed at creating a positive work environment. Students learnt about specializations requiredby the bank in different departments. Such career fairs represent an opportunity to introduce employment and training policies in the bank and mechanism of applying for these opportunities which the bank offers annually.

To enhance its leading role in the development of human resources and providing training opportunities to graduates of various educational institutions, Bank Muscat provides annual training opportunities. This year, the bank provided more than 359 job opportunities and more than380 training opportunities for students from various universities and colleges. During the internship period, students worked closely with the Bank employees in different departments and branches.
Theseprograms were designed in sync with the academic qualifications pursued by students aiming to provide relevant work experience that will help them in their respective careers.During the past year, Bank Muscat succeeded in providing 330 training opportunities for students representing various educational institutions in the Sultanate.
This annual initiative reaffirms Bank Muscat's keenness to contribute and cooperate with various educational institutions to provide the best opportunities and training programs for students in order to refine their practical skills in various fields and job specialties, especially those related to the banking and finance sector. The bank's training department distributes students to the bank's various departments and branches spread across the Sultanate and a report is made on the student’s daily performance during the training period.
The bank continues to invest in the development of Omani cadres in various specialties, and seeks to enhance their career and future ambitions in the banking field, while providing the appropriate working environment for employees to carry out their duties to the fullest. The bank is proud of all its successes and achievements in the field of human resources. The current Omanization ratio is 93% which is above the mandated rate. The bank employs 4,105 staff out which almost half are female employees.
