Issuance and renewal of ID cards to be suspended

Muscat : The issuance, renewal or replacement of ID cards will be suspended on Sunday, October 22 and October 29, 2023 due to voting for Shura Council polls, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said.

"The Royal Oman Police - Security Relations and Media Department - announces to all citizens that the issuance, renewal or replacement of ID cards will be suspended on Sunday, October 22 and October 29, 2023, coinciding with the voting date for the tenth term elections of the Shura Council," ROP said in a statement.

ROP added that the passport, birth and death certificates, and residence card services will remain operational.
