New York: Dr Sam Samuel has been named as one of the new Directors to join the Board of New York Council of Nonprofits, Inc (NYCON) effective January 2024.
Dr. Samuel, a distinguished leader and advocate for nonprofit organisations, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to NYCON’s mission.
With a robust background as a social entrepreneur, business mentor, and life coach spanning over two decades in the US, India, and the Middle East, Dr. Samuel has showcased exceptional leadership in diverse domains including engineering, education, ICT, advertising, digital media and design, youth development, and community welfare.
He is a Director and Board member of the nonprofit Abbott House in the US.
He is also actively associated with nonprofits in India; he is the Founding President of Anjappam and Tau Trust.
Dr. Samuel holds a Ph.D. in in Management Studies and has authored two books.
He has previously served as the Vice-Chairman of Knowledge Oman, and as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman, overseeing the functioning of twenty-one community Indian Schools.
Dr. Samuel’s appointment is for a three-year term, during which he will play a role in supporting NYCON’s mission.
NYCON, along with its affiliates Council Services Plus, Good Causes, and BoardStrong, stands as a trusted resource and advocate for charitable nonprofits in New York State.
