Sayyid Badr, Antony Blinken review situation in Gaza

Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Antony Blinken, Secretary of State of the United States of America, reviewed during a phone call on Saturday, the current and dangerous situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The two ministers expressed their concern about the ongoing escalation that is affecting the civilian population in Gaza and the urgent need to achieve the required truce, open passages and airspace for urgent humanitarian needs, and restart electricity and water plants.

 During the conversation, the Foreign Minister explained that violence breeds extremism, and therefore the international community has a moral and legal responsibility to break this cycle and move towards achieving a just and comprehensive peace for the Palestinian issue and restoring the legitimate Palestinian right to end the illegal Israeli occupation.
