Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday commended the tangible development in the performance of government units while urging for more efforts to raise performance, laying emphasis on governing procedures, organising business, paying attention to enhancing the confidence of beneficiaries and improving services.
His Majesty presided over a meeting of the Council of Ministers at Al Barakah Palace, the Oman News Agency reported.
His Majesty expressed satisfaction with the country’s financial performance during the past three years; the good results achieved that contributed to spurring the growth of GDP, upgrading financial economic indicators, the credit rating of Oman and achieving of surplus.
The Council of Ministers convened under His Majesty approved the promotion of Omani employees of the State’s Administrative Apparatus implementing Civil Service Law and other regulations from seniors of years 2013-2016 during years 2024-2025 in accordance with the program tailored for that purpose.
His Majesty also instructed to expedite the implementation of the Council of Ministers' outcomes to address challenges facing the implementation of Al Batinah Coastal Road project and finalise all related cash compensations before the end of 2023.
