Sayyid Badr meets with foreign ministers

Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister met esterday with Tobias Billstrom, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, within the context of the 27th session of the Joint GCC-EU Ministerial Council in Muscat.

The two sides discussed the bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two countries.

In his turn, Sayyid Badr underscored the importance of respecting religious beliefs and establishing laws that prohibit and criminalise incitement to hatred or discrimination against faiths.

Sayyid Badr also met with Gordan Grlić, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and ways of strengthening them in various fields. They also discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas of common concern.

The two meetings were attended by Munthir Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Head of Europe Department and officials from both sides.

Sayyid Badr met with Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.

This meeting was held on the sidelines of the 27th session of the Joint GCC-EU Ministerial Council in Muscat.

The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries. They also discussed various aspects of cooperation and ways of strengthening them, particularly in the economic, cultural and tourism fields.
