Muscat: A passenger died on board a Muscat-Islamabad flight forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Karachi, according to media reports.
The aircraft was travelling from Muscat to Islamabad when a passenger’s condition deteriorated in the Pakistani airspace near Hoshab, according to a Geo News report.
The flight was subsequently diverted to Karachi on the instruction of an air traffic controller and landed at Karachi airport on Monday morning at 5:36am.
Following an examination, the doctors pronounced the passenger dead. He was identified as Basharat from Azad Kashmir's Bagh area.
Later, the flight carrying the remaining passengers departed for its destination.
