Muscat: More than 50 expats have been arrested for violating provisions of the Labour Law from the Wilayat of Seeb, Muscat Governorate.
"The Ministry of Labour, represented by the General Directorate of Labour Welfare, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, carried out an inspection campaign in the Wilayat of Seeb on private homes in which unlicensed work and acts contrary to public morals are practiced. 55 workers were arrested in violation of the provisions of the Labour Law," Ministry of Labour said in a statement.
"The legal measures are being taken against the violators," the statement added.
