Oman Customs foils multiple drug smuggling attempts

Muscat: Oman Customs thwarted a traveller's attempt to bring in more than 25 kilograms of marijuana and large quantities of psychotropic pills.

The General Directorate of Customs said: “Muscat International Airport Customs stopped a traveller’s attempt to bring in more than 25 kilograms of marijuana and quantities of psychotropic pills, which he professionally concealed in sealed moulds, which were hidden inside bags of oats and barley.”

In another case, Customs teams thwarted the smuggling of crystal narcotic substances, which the accused deliberately melted and hid professionally inside a piece of cloth.
