Mwasalat launches bus trip to Abu Dhabi

Al Buraimi: Mwasalat, one of the Asyad Group companies, on Sunday launched its first intercity bus service on Route 202 (Muscat - Al Buraimi - Abu Dhabi) passing through the city of Al Ain, with one trip per day in this phase, back and forth.

The company received passengers at a transportation station in the Wilayat of Buraimi.

This route will provide passenger transportation service in integration with other routes for transport from Abu Dhabi, through the city of Al Ain, to the cities of Muscat and Salalah and vice versa, as passengers from Muscat can reach Abu Dhabi and other areas from both sides.

This route passes through several stopping points, the most important of which are: “Al-Azaiba Bus Station, Muscat International Airport, Burj Al-Sahwa Bus Station, Al-Khoud Bridge, Al-Ma’abilah Bus Station, Al-Naseem Park, Al-Rumais, Barka Bridge, Wadi Al-Jizzi, Al-Buraimi, Al-Ain Central Station, and Abu Dhabi Bus Station. The route will take the Batinah Expressway from Barka Bridge to Wadi Al-Jizzi.

Mwasalat Company explained that the price of ticket for the route, if going from Muscat to Abu Dhabi, is OMR11, while the cost of a round-trip ticket will be OMR22.

The company confirmed that passengers can easily book their tickets through the electronic reservation system directly on www.mwasalat.om at any time and place.

It should be noted that this operation comes as an extension of the agreement signed by the of Mwasalat service, related to the establishment of an integrated public transport station project for buses and taxis in the Buraimi governorate.

The move is in line with the urban strategy that aims to connect and integrate cities using the smart transportation system, and also with the passenger transportation agreement that Mwasalat signed it with Capital Express, the licensed company for passenger transport services from the Integrated Transport Centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The service is aimed to expand and strengthen the international bus transport network between the two brotherly countries and link the bus station in the Buraimi wilayat to the bus station in the city of Al Ain.
