Barka: The first show jumping training competitions for this 2023/2024 season, organised and supervised by the Oman Equestrian Federation, were launched at the Olympic Arena in Al Rahba Farm in the Wilayat of Barka.
Eighty-three horses are participating in the training competitions, divided into five categories: 22 horses in the junior category with 70 cm height, 23 horses in the (F) category with 90 cm height, 25 horses in the (D1) category with 100 cm height, and 10 horses in the (D) category with 110 cm height, in addition to 3 horses in category (C).
The training competition witnessed the participation of a number of government and private stables, represented by the participation of the Royal Cavalry, the Royal Oman Police Cavalry Command, the Royal Guard of Oman Cavalry, Al Said Stables, Al Rayyan Stables, Al Qurum Stables, Al Arabiya Stables, Al Sabqi Stables, the Olympic Equestrian Centre, and the Mojo Equestrian Center. Al Shamekh Equestrian School, Al Fares Equestrian School, Al Tamayoz Equestrian School, and Al Seeb Equestrian School.
Such training competitions come in preparation for the new season and to ensure that horses and riders are ready to compete in upcoming competitions and tournaments, as this season will witness a number of local and international tournaments.
