Muscat: Sheikh Dr. Al Khatab Ghalib Al Hinai, Deputy Chairman of the State Council, received here on Tuesday Yamada Miki, Japan’s Former State Minister of the Environment, Secretary General of the Oman-Japan Friendship Association.
The meeting comes within the framework of the guest’s and her accompanying delegation’s official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Al Hinai lauded the advance relations between Oman and Japan. He also underscored the role of the Oman-Japan Friendship Association in boosting bilateral cooperation, especially in legislative fields.
This visit, Al Hinai added, contributes to expanding vistas of cooperation between the two sides.
He also gave a brief introduction on the State Council and its national roles.
Yamada Miki, Japan’s Former State Minister of the Environment, Secretary General of the Oman-Japan Friendship Association expressed her delight in visiting the Sultanate of Oman.
She also said she looks forward to see further development and prosperity in relations between Japan and Oman.
Further, she underlined Oman’s leading role in consolidating values of tolerance, respect and co-existence. At the conclusion of her visit, the guest and her accompanying delegation toured the State Council’s building and viewed its various facilities.
Further, the meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the State Council and Yamamoto Jota Ambassador of Japan to Oman.
