Muscat : Muscat Municipality has issued an explanatory statement regarding the amusement area in Reyam Public Park in Muscat Governorate.
Muscat Municipality has followed what is being discussed regarding the status of the amusement area in Reyam Public Park. The municipality would like to clarify that the investment contract with the investor for this area - including the entertainment games, cafes and shops - has ended with the municipality, and the investor will remove these rides and occupancies and hand over the site to the municipality shortly.
In this aspect, the municipality will invest the site according to a vision that takes into account the optimal usage of the site from all recreational, tourism, economic and social aspects, in a way that serves visitors and all segments of society and achieves feasibility and desired goals, based on the principle of providing sustainable and purposeful services in the city.
The municipality is constantly carrying out regular maintenance work on the largest part of the park, which is open and available for everyone to visit. As for the entertainment arts area, it is not available to visitors during this period for the reasons mentioned above.
