Muscat: Bangladesh Social Club Oman organised a day-long blood donation campaign on 16 September 2023 at Al Khuwair Zakher Mall to support the blood bank in Oman.
A large number of Bangladeshi expatriates, including men and women attended the event and donated blood.
The Ambassador of Bangladesh, Nazmul Islam, inaugurated the function as the chief guest and praised the Bangladesh Social Club for arranging such noble humanitarian activities.
Ms. Moushimi Rahman, Deputy Head of Mission, also visited the venue and exchanged talked with the blood donors along with the ambassador.
The donation campaign was started at 8 am in the presence of a huge crowd of people gathering for blood donation.
Sirajul Hoque, Chairman and the Executive Committee members of Bangladesh Social Club, thanked the authorities of the Ministry of Health for their support and donors for their
participation.
The programme was also attended by main sponsor of the event Iftakher Chowdhury, CEO Gulf Overseas Exchange, officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Executive Committee members of Greater Noakhali Wing, Greater Comilla Wing, Women’s Wing, proposed Chattragram Wing, NRB Sporting.
A large number of community members and leaders including Engineer Mustafa Kamal, Nur Hossain, Md. Shahabuddin also participated in the event and supported the humanitarian effort of Bangladesh Social Club Oman.
