Three expats, one citizen arrested for theft, fraud in Oman

Muscat: Three expats were arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP), for stealing from a charitable donation fund in the Wilayat of Barka,South Al Batinah Governorate.

"The South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested three people of Asian nationality on charges of stealing a from charitable donation fund in the Wilayat of Barka. The legal procedures were completed against them," ROP said in a statement.

In another incident, a citizen was arrested for fraud in Muscat Governorate, Royal Oman Police (ROP), said.

"Muscat Governorate Police Command arrested a female citizen on charges of fraud by making several purchases using forged payment receipts from a gold store. Sums of money and some jewelry were seized from her possession," ROP said in a statement.

ROP added that the legal procedures are being completed against her.
