MUSCAT: Meethaq Islamic Banking from Bank Muscat participated recently in the GCC forum on zakat and the first meeting for zakat committees in Oman held at Oman Across Ages Museum. The forum was attended by authorities responsible for managing and distributing zakat in the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and members from zakat committees affiliated with the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs. It included as part of its activities an exhibition for zakat committees and panel discussions for committees’ members. During the 3-day forum, Meethaq showcased through its stall at the museum its various customized services and facilities that are developed based on the best Islamic Banking standards.The digital banking services provided by Meethaq have made it easy and convenient for customers to manage their transactions, including for example, how to calculate zakat and paying zakat and charity amounts easily through itsinternet and mobile banking services.
